The Great Hall

Situated a few minutes from the City centre, our state-of-the-art auditorium, the Great Hall, is a fully equipped theatre and regularly holds international performers, the Canterbury Festival, orchestral concerts and drama productions. It is an inspirational space with the flexibility to change your seating requirements to suit your needs. Typical seating ranges from 300 to 540 and the opportunity to create bespoke spaces for exhibitions, galleries or entertainment events. The auditorium is fully accessible with two dressing rooms, showers, a kitchenette and a Green Room. The Great Hall can be hired for performances, presentations, conferences, workshops, pre and post show talks, Q+As, training days, meetings, award ceremonies, dance competitions, rehearsals and filming. We offer a full range of catering options for your event, along with a fully licensed bar on the upper floor. Our excellent team ensures your hire of the Great Hall is bespoke to you and includes events coordination and technical support. A range of additional equipment is also available to hire, and we provide a professional ticketing service to maximise your box office sales and minimise your administration.
